Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre – Eemshaven

Our client is a €1.5bn turnover, multi-disciplined Tier 1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Eemshaven, Netherlands.

Responsibilities

•   Commercial Leadership
Oversee the commercial management of all Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) packages on a hyperscale data centre project, ensuring budgets, cash flow, and margins are achieved.
•   Procurement & Contract Management
Lead procurement and administration of high-value MEP subcontracts, including HVAC, cooling systems, power distribution, UPS, generators, and critical infrastructure, in line with Tier 1 contractor standards.
•   Cost Planning & Reporting
Produce detailed cost plans, forecasts, and monthly reports for complex MEP packages, providing accurate commercial insight to support project and client decision-making.
•   Change & Risk Management
Manage variations, claims, and change control processes, driving value engineering initiatives and mitigating commercial risks associated with mission-critical MEP delivery.
•   Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner with project managers, engineers, planners, and client representatives while mentoring junior QS staff, ensuring MEP commercial performance aligns with technical and operational priorities.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 10+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably data centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Netherlands
